Best road trip I ever had, 02 or otherwise (at least by myself):
Last summer - the tii and I went up to the eastern part of Michigan's U.P. I had a summer job offering there - boatyard specializing in old wooden speedboats/Chris-crafts, etc. About a 9 or 10 hour drive from home, depending on how you work it. I went half the way with the stereo loud, everything open, and the sunroof back. Surprisingly quiet (wind) at 70 or 80 mph - if you angle the quarterlights right, it's amazing how well that car ventilates. Had everything open because of no A/C (it got brutally hot with it all closed going through the boring plains of Indiana). Got great fuel mileage, and made it there with time to spare.
Best part was in south michigan when it started to rain, and for a few hours - wasn't as uncomfortable, and felt like my own little mobile living room, if about twenty times as noisy...
