Some of you guys might scoff, but I have only driven around the DC-VA metro area, never anything long. Last night, in the pouring buckets of rain, I drove the '02 to Richmond to sell some parts to someone on the '02 list. 200 miles in total crap weather with the big Hellas on all the way. Longest trip I ever did at once.

It pulled hard to the right, turned out I did not adjust the tie rod right when I installed the strut and put the front end back together. So, 30 minutes in a gas station parking lot in North Armpit, VA, solved that (and I got it perfect :) what a great feeling).

Anyway, after that it was a joy. I love my car. Not a peep of strange sounds or anything. Ran like a champ all the way up I 95 back to Arlington, and now I have $$ for a clutch ;) Lots of stares and questions from people who could not believe I was driving a car that old in that kind of weather.

: OK, decided on saturday afternoon to head out on the road for Pullman, WA to visit some friends. 300+miles away from home in seattle and extremely flat and boring after getting through the mountains. my littel red '02 kicked ass to say the least. not one problem anywhere to report, even oil consumption was normal, and fuel effeciency was amazing. it took me about 4 hours to make the whole journey only stopped for gas, and the cruising RPM's were steady at about 4300-4700. the sound from my engine was loud enough to keep me awake, i didnt even need my cd player. made it there safely and spent some good times with some old friends i hadnt seen in awhile. all in all a very successful weekend for me. all the hicks and other motorists were very puzzled to see a 30 year old car fly by them with such ease!! god i love my car!! well tell me/everyone else your favorite road trip in your '02 that you have ever had. thanks keep '02ing!!
