You should also check under the trucklid on the opposite side of the roundel(on '74 and newer) and you will see a couple of holes that you can stick a thin screwdriver through and push the roundels out. This way you shouldn't have to pry the things loose with a knife which can scratch the paint if you're not careful. The same can be done with the hood roundel. I just did mine a few months ago.
