I currently run a Korman 300 cam, 10.5 to 1 compression and 45 sidedrafts. I really like to way the car drives. Acceleration from a dead stop takes a little getting use to, The cam timing has such a lope that at low RPM's it's hard to get the car rolling. But from about 3000 RPM plus it is alot of fun. The folks at Korman built the motor in 1978 an after 20 years and 20 K miles she still pulls well. Est. 170 HP and 0-60 in about 7+ seconds. Only problem that I have found is that the motor will pull strong to 7000+ but the 2nd gear Synchro will not shift above about 5700. Enjoy your motor. K.C.
PS: Headers and free flow exhost are needed and the 45's are to big for the car (38 Chokes). Go with the 40's.
: Can anyone help in a realistic evaluation on it's street performance with 10:1 and 40DCOE'S? It's new old stock and for sale. I just need to tell people what to expect form it.
