In my 74 2002 I noticed that the distributor does'nt have vacuum advance. The part no. is 0231188002. I was told it was a tii dist., & that it was hi-perf/aftermarket. My bimmer is plain-jane, stock-as-can-be. A) What car application is this dist designed for? a tii? or is it just a less expensive replacement. B) To what specs should I set the timing? C) Is it an acceptable replacement for the vac advance model in my very stock, non-hi-perf "02"?...(many experts say not)
