The problem with spot cleaning a carpet is that you could clean a spot and have it look different then the rest of the carpet. This is usually not to much of a problem if it is a dark carpet. But a light color can show a difference. If you can believe I have used Espree Green wheel cleaner on tough carpet stains it almost always takes the stain out. Use a clean wet rag and then spray the cleaner on the rag work it into the carpet. When you are happy wipe just clear water on the area to remove any trace of wheel cleaner. You may wish to try this in a test area first just in case. This method has always worked for me. Good luck!

: While I've got one of the seats out of my car for recovering, I'd like to get some now-accessible stains out of my carpet. The stains pre-date my ownership of the car, so I have no idea whether they are coffee or grease or . . . . Any suggestions on what cleaning product to use? (I have checked the archives.)

: Thanks,
