"Z" relay rod maintenance question (archive)

I have been trying to understand why my brake pedal on my 1976 2002 kept hanging up until I came across an article regarding the same problem in '75 and '76 2002s. Apparently, the window wash container was moved from one area under the car hood to a location above the brake servo unit "Z" relay rod setup that actuates the servo unit. Fluid from the washer container, that might run down and below it, can cause corrosion in the brushings. The rod has to be removed and rod shaft cleaned and greased up. This one rod has been difficult to remove. Now I am looking for advice on how to remove this rod so that I might replace the malloy grease needed to eliminate the brake drag. Advice? Any "exploding views" of the "Z" relay rod setup? Thanks.
