Yes....only about 65 cars showed up..but it was another great gathering...it would be nice if everyone that is active on this and other e-mail lists would put their name on their cars (or wear a name tag)....amazingly, since I had a printout in my window with my name on it....about a half dozen good '02 folks came over and introduced themselves....Great meeting all of you that I had a chance to (including Bob "tii" Murphy).
The weather was great, and there were quite a few vendors there..but the same ole cars won top honors again...except that green roundie with the M3 engine...WOW!..I voted for that!...I also voted for Coop's (Daniel Cooper)'73 M302...but he didn't win again this year....I can't figure out the voting thing...there were alot of very fine cars there that didn't win a thing...a shame (ok I'm whining)...
They also need to have a "Most Original" and "Best Restored" category! Not one car with an original normally aspirated carb or tii engine won a thing! POOP!!!
Anyway, it was still a great time!!!!
BTW, my '73 tii ran all day long a total 750 mile round trip and averaged a "whopping" 33mpg!!! Great ride, even if it is a bit "Spartan" with the windows down and the hum of that Kugelfischer...ah "heaven"...and bless my wife's heart for putting up with the whole thing!!
