My 1974 had a 3.64 diff and 5 speed overdrive tranny. It worked very well. Switching to a 3.90 would give you a bit more acceleration. You will not loose top end, you might even go a bit faster, as your engine will be in its powerband even in 5 th gear.
Upgrade to at least a 65 amp alternator, you could also install an 85 amp from the Euro 323. But because you have a big amplifier, get a big batery too.
My car had Sport shocks and Eibach springs, I never fetlt the need for bigger swaybars than stock.
