I've been reading all of the "desmog" topics over the past couple of weeks, and was wondering (as a novice, obviously) what is the purpose of the vacuum retard on the '75 and '76 cars? If you capped it or left it unplugged, what would be the end result?
I'm needing to do the same procedure on mine, and want to weigh all the options. I'm currently leaning towards getting an older distributer to drop in.....
