Hi guys, A problem which I'm having problems tracing. My engine starts perfectly, idles beautifully, and runs at high revs ok. The problem is when I try to blip the accelerator, the engine hessitates / dies before picking up. I have checked vacuum advance tube and there is suction. I have looked into the top of the carb and can see fuel being squirted fro the accel / pump. So what is it.
My thoughts are :-
1. the advance / retard is sticking on the distributor?
2. the accelerator pump is squirting too much fuel - flooding the engine?
3. the float is too high causing the the engine to get flooded by the accel pump?
4. my carb is screwed?

Any ideas where to start???
And before anyone says rip of the solex and put on a weber, I would like to fix what I've got if possible.

Anyway, Merry Christmas everyone and a very prosperous New Millenium.
