Clicking noise when I press down on clutch pedal.. (archive)

If anyone has advice, please give me your 02 cents. I noticed a couple days ago every once in a while while pressing down on my clutch pedal I'd hear a loud click(sound of metal clicking). Now it happens everytime and I'm worried. The car will engage in gear fine as I let out the pedal, but I know the click can't be good and maybe there's a linkage problem... Any thoughts or experiences?
