Emulsion tubes (archive)

I am fiddling around with the jets on my weber 32/36 and was wondering if anyone knows or can explain what changing the emulsion tubes does? I originally had f50 and f6 tubes and changed to f7 on the advice of the good folks at justbmws.com. Given that nothing else has changed does anyone know what effects I should expect from each of these tubes?
