: : what jet sizes are required as i have managed to get a 316 manifold so i can mount a 32/36 ? also what do i need to do to get the throttle linkage to work will it line up? or do i need to convert to cable rather than rod operation? is this easy ?
: : thanks in advance

: Alex! Where did you get that manifold? I have been keeping an eye out for one as well.

: The DGAV choke mechanism is operated by the hot water from the engine, from what I understand, and the DGV is the cable mechanically operated choke. I don't know if the two mechanisms can be retrofitted. If you have the 1600cc motor, you most probably wont have the water line access to the block unless you tap one. Even the early 2002 blocks lack this. If you go with the DGAV you might be ckokeless, but there are plenty of DGVs out there.

: As far as the linage is concerned, you can use your existing linkage. Just take off the end off the throttle shaft from the Solex and replace it with the end on the Weber. I found out that you can interchange the Solex idle jet with the Weber electric idle jet ( which can malfunction and is very expensive )

: Jetting for 1600s ? You are not going to find too much info on 1600s. Try using the carb as is.

: Good Luck
