: : I only have a lousy Haynes manual for my 76 2002 (came with the car). It does not give info on running a compression test. I need to know which fuse will disable the ignition system or exactly what the procedure is to run the test. I do have the numbers needed (125 psi minimum).

: : Merry Christmas and Thanks in advance!!

: First make sure your battery has a good charge. Remove the coil wire, and ALL the spark plugs. Block the throttle open. Then have someone turn it over (about 6 revs) while you read the gauge. Thats all there is to it!

: Ken

on a low one squirt some engine oil in and see if it raises the numbers' there many be a lot of oil in the motor already(blow by) and it might therefore read good when it is not
