I wrote a few days ago about my charging system, which seemed to not be charging my brand new battery. I've got a new voltage regulator in and a new battery, have run the full complement of alternator tests which indicate that it is indeed charging the battery, and have replaced the ground from the alternator to the block and cleaned and checked all connections. Still my car frequently needs a jump to get started. I did notice that my ignition switch is a little sensitive - if you move the key a bit when the engine is running it shuts down completely. Could my problem be a short in the ignition draining the battery?
