If you're planning on removing the smog hardware, don't throw it away. You never know if you'll move to California someday (your '75 '02 will not be smog inspection exempt until 2005) or that some future owner will need it. I wouldn't put it past any state government changing the laws and having our '02 meet a smog law. Bag and tag the individual parts and put it in a box.
