rack & pinion install in 2002? (archive)

Has anyone out there any info. about converting the 2002 to rack and pinion steering- e.g. replacing the stock system with a 320i rack and pinion unit? I'm considering this, and would really appreciate knowing if anyone has been there and has any tips.
