Have a schrick 292? What is your idle speed? (archive)

I've already solicited the board for opinions on fixing a wandering idle, no need to revisit that thread. But I am wondering what idle speed those of you w/ 292's use.

I've been trying to get mine to consistently idle in the 900's, but i either fall down to 600-800 or jump up to about 1250. Can't seem to find a medium. Part of that may be my need for better throttle return spring setups, I have some ideas for that (Thanks KC). Just curious as to the idle that people usually set for a 292 on a 2x40 dcoe street car.
