Big bumpers shortened (archive)

As I was having a mild fit over the fact that there is a ton of salt on local roads and thus my 02 is STILL sitting in the garage, I decided to take on the long-awaited shortening of my front bumper shocks. I won't bore you with the oft-repeated details of this (available in the archives) but all went reasonably well and the bumper now sits about 2 inches closer to the body, and looks worlds better for it. I still haven't decided if I'll be doing the rear as well, but the front makes a tremendous difference in the car's appearance. If you have a big-bumpered car and don't have to parallel park with any regularity, I heartily recommend this. Just thought I'd share.
