I have a 74 ti(i) - Lost last i when went to dual 45's. Anyway I am woundering if you are experiencing oil blow though. On my car at high RMPS for a long time - Drivers schools - 60+ mph in 2nd for 30 seconds (5800 rpm) oil will push out of the breather valve on top of the valve cover. I have set up a breather hose between the valve cover and it pushes out oil under the car below the clutch cylinder. So my question is are you sure there is a hose connected to the valve cover breather hole?
Good luck
