I would be happy to give you a hand if you live near Brooklyn NY (honest) and maybe talk you into keeping it.

Get out the old Haynes book or BMW manual and read through removing the brake master cylinder. Not to difficult. Watch what you do with the fluid resevoir you don't want that all over your engine bay. Since it is a tii i think you will also need to get new style grommets for the resevoir hoses to MC connection. Make sure to ask the 02 parts retailer.
Bleeding the brakes will probably be the hardest part (I have never bench bled a MC FWIW).
