i did the same thing last fall, use a bernzomatic torch with propane and oxygen or if have an oxygen/acetylene rig going. if you don't have one or the other I reccomend you get one, they are really handy. get it red hot. if not I'd use a lot of penetating oil and let it soak.

: changing one of the cables on the handbrake. no problem with unhooking it at both ends. but where the cable fits into to cable housing tube (running from about a foot from the rear wheel forward to where it feeds up into the car) the cable has rusted tight into the tube. try as i might i can't seem to get it to budget! any suggestions on how i might get it to break free (no pun intended) would be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance to all you 02 wizards who may have been down this road already.
