When I bought my tii (back in '83), it came with 185/60-13 pirelli P6's. The effect on acceleration was the same as if the PO had replaced the 3.45 diff with a 3.90 diff. Of course, there is a downside to that. Your speedo will read ~15% higher than your actual speed. Your fuel economy will suffer somewhat and your engine will have to rev higher (not so nice on the highway).

As for CN-36's, tire technology has improved a great deal since they were made.
