A couple of things have been bothering me about the shifter on my '75 '02 for awhile now...1) It makes an annoying noise when it vibrates. 2) I can't tighten the shift knob, it just spins around on the shaft.

Is there a way to fix these problems or is it best to get a short shifter kit? And if the recommendation is to get a kit, has anyone had luck with the UUC kit or the one that BMP sells?
