I only rolled the inner lip (IE not the whole mini-flare on the stock bodywork), because my tires were oh so close to clearing, and only one side was really problem. I took a hacksaw to cut notches along the inner lip, effectively sectioning the inner lip into easily bent, well...sections. so sort of like a:
1____1_____1_____1_____1_____1______1
with me so far?

then, i took some pliers to pinch these sections against the outer lip, using a washcloth belonging to my friend's mom to put between the pliers and the fender. I did experience some minor cracking of the paint, but mostly at the very bottom edge...where it was stretched the most...hey my verona 02 used to be mintgrun!

there are also some discussions on this topic in the "Search" function at the top of the page, just type in "rolling fenders," and the like.

good luck,

nick
