Just after buying my tii in early 1973, I had a Blaupunkt Frankfurt AM/FM radio and two 5 1/4 inch speakers installed by Suburban Radio in LA. They mounted the speakers in the under dash lining (see Bild-Nr 2 and 8 on page 51/76 of the Parts Catalog), one next to the hood release and the other to the right of the glove box. I'm assuming that they cut holes in the under dash lining to accommodate the speakers. I think that 5 1/4 inch speakers are the largest that will fit there.
