The car's a Baur. What happened is that someone might have cut bigger holes for the rear tails. They don't mount flush with the back panal.
Don't Euro 73s and later have a bit of a different rear panal (raised across back vs. flat) than the round taillight models?
: Not willing to say absolutely, but I have a 73' and it has round lights. I would be inclined to think that unless Bauer is willing to give it a stamp of approval, someone put an old VIN on a newer frame.
: : I'm looking at a Baur Targa 72 VIN with some conflicting features. The main puzzle is the square tail lights. Looking inside the trunk, everything appears stock (sheet metal-wise). The instrument surround isn't wood grain. Seats have wide headrests. Front grills are silver. Long center console with square shift boot. Wide steel wheels.
: : Long side bumpers extensions and wide side moldings.
: : This car is an Italian car that hasn't been driven for a while.
: : Is it possible to just be a cross-over 72-73 model? Any clues?
