does your car have the wiper delay module? Do the wipers stop when you unplug the module?
: Time for some sleuth work. Anyone else feel free to jump in at any time......(I'm going from memory, don't have the manual available to me right now)
: 1. Does the wiper stop when you pull the relay? (there may be more than one relay!)
: 2. If wiper stops when relay(s) pulled, check across connections (with a multimeter/voltmeter) to stalk switch to see if you have continuity with switch to "off" position. If you do, you have a short in the switch or the wiring.
: 3. If wiper does NOT stop when relay(s) pulled (I think this would be impossible), you have a short or unintended ground in the wiring up to or past the relay(s), or there is another relay that is not pulled.
: I'll try to check when I have the manual and repost (probably 2 days from today).
: : Okay, swapped the wiper relay, no luck. Still run all the time. Ugh, I am more than happy to install a switch to turn the dumb things off and on, which wire? By the way the two speeds both work, but I have to guess backwards. Knob out, slow, knob in, fast.
: : Also, looking at the dull taillights, I went out and got some buffing pads for the dremmel and viola, very very shiny reflectors, once you peel off the chrome plating. Absolutely terrific, with a coating of sealant. Took about two hours per light.
