The 2002s--especially the tiis--are great cars. Just be prepared to keep up the maintainence.
Your idle/ mixture problem may just be little more than needing to replace the points and spark plugs. If your 02 doesn't already have an electronic ignition, you should get one. Shop around for some seats in junkyards, etc. 320i seats are a little better than 2002 seats. The 320is Recaros--if you can find any--go nicely with the 02s interior
