: Wow, what a great site!!
: I own a '72 2000 Touring (3440556). Would welcome any contact from other Touring / '02 owners.
: Please can someone make any suggestions on the following problem. The clutch seem to be slow to release, when pressure is taken off the pedal? Have checked the slave cylinder and it seems fine. Wondering if it may be the connector hose, between the slave cylinder and the metal pipes back to the master cylinder, "ballooning" when the clutch pedal is depressed and released. Cheers, looking forward to your replies. Dog

That would be my guess. I know that the stock rubber hose on my '69 was replaced with a formed plastic hose because the interior of the hose collapses and acts as a one way valve. The rubber brake lines are subject to the same problem. If the plastic hose is no longer available through BMW, I bought a good used one from 2002AD.
