I suppose that might be a problem, at least at low intake velocities. There are any number of big old American intake manifolds, especially dual-plane big-block pieces, that have fairly sharp bends in the runners, though, so I'm not sure how big a problem it would be. Good point, though.

I don't see how the runners could be straightened and lengthened appreciably given the constraints of the 02 engine bay. If I had a spare tii motor lying around I'd tinker with and see what happened, but alas, I don't.

: The problem I see with moving the carbs up to there is wetting of the intake walls or loss of fuel atomization. This will cause a very unstable/ueven running motor. Notice where the injectors are on a tii?

: If you where to straighten out the runners for a more direct path to the valve - then you may have something worth looking into.
