: Fellow '02 cult members:
: I now am one of you. I just picked up a beautiful
: Fjord Blue 1974 2002tii. It has Navy interior and
: is very pretty.
: But I have a few issues with it.
: Firstly the front seats. The Vinyl is new so
: no problem there. But the drivers seat seems to
: have the horsehair padding and it must not be very
: new as its lacking in much support. The passengers
: seat was repacked with foam. It provides more
: support and is more comfortable than the drivers
: seats but it the padding looks kinda funky -- I
: assume because the padding is not conformed to
: the shape of the horsehair.
: So I need to either get both seats packed with
: foam that will look better or horsehair. Or, I
: may just need to get recaros -- opinions?
: Secondly, I have an idle surge that developed on
: the way back to Texas from Colorado. Don't know
: if its elevation related or not. One fellow
: (not the PO) said that was just the mixture that
: needs to be adjusted -- any comments.
: I'll leave it at that for now. The car is
: going to my mechanic later this week for a
: good going over. I have some other issues I'll
: post later.
: Its nice to be an '02 owner!

:they can be finicky and fickle, just like a woman, hence the reason i refer to my newly restored '73 as "she"(who has been in the family for 20 years). They are fairly easy to work on, beautiful to look at and even more fun to drive. Love her at take care of her and she will do the same. Welcome to the club, you can get alot of info from here, i know i have.
'73 Malaga(used to be refered to by my hubby as the "purple turd", til he fell in love with her.....LOL)
