: I don't know if it's just the 1973 year, but the turn signal/wiper switch located on the RIGHT side of the column has disintegrated in my car. This switch coats a whooping $120 from bimmer parts so I'm looking for a spare anyone has or suggestions on retrofitting to another year which would be cheaper to fix. Has anyone dealt with this problem and avoided the $120 cost? I think the wiper/washer function could easily be replaced with a switch but would a righthand turn signal only switch from a previous model year be fitted? Has anyone switched from right hand turn signal switching to left in a '73?

: TIA
