: I have leaks out of the top of my 40mm sidedrafts. One appears to be through the plate held byc a wingnut (covering the needle?) and the other through an adjustment screw. So I have two questions:
: 1) Where can I get rebuild kits
: 2) What is the best manual for working on Weber carbs
That wingnut is the access to the jets and emulsion tubes, if you have fuel coming out of there, you probably have a flooding float bowl, so at least check the float level if not replace the needle valve/seat. Try www.webercarburetors.com for cheap prices on rebuild kits, they aren't an e-business site, but you can print out and fax their order form. Buy the Haynes Weber/SU/Stromberg or the Pat Braden HP manual.
