: Hello: The egr valve on the late o2s is supposed to be a gm part... anyone know which GM sled it came from? My parts man says he can cross it only if he has the GM number, which is supposed to be cast into the valve. Does anybody have a valve that they could read the number from?
: I know I can head over to 2002ad and will do so Friday or monday if I do not come up with an answer. However i would like to buy a new one, the car is immaculate and I need the piece to look good also...Any info on the diverter valve and fuel distributor would be good too.
: i took these parts off 15 years ago, and saved them, but cannot locate them now. Arghh! New pumps and check valves are available over the counter so that is no problem. Any answers out there

Jonathan,

The "early" 02 "gulp" valves were indeed GM products and came off of the late sixties vehicles. They had the GM stamped on them. The early 02's did not have an EGR system. The late 02 valves are A. Pierburg parts - the same company that makes one of the fuel pumps available. New ones are over $400 list price.
