: Wow, what a great site!!
: I own a '72 2000 Touring (3440556). Would welcome any contact from other Touring / '02 owners.
: Please can someone make any suggestions on the following problem. The clutch seem to be slow to release, when pressure is taken off the pedal? Have checked the slave cylinder and it seems fine. Wondering if it may be the connector hose, between the slave cylinder and the metal pipes back to the master cylinder, "ballooning" when the clutch pedal is depressed and released. Cheers, looking forward to your replies. Dog
It's a long shot, but check to make sure nothing has fallen under the rug and jammed up against the bottom of the clutch shaft. I was about to pull the engine to replace a bad clutch because I had the same type of problem you describe. It turned out that a socket had found it's way down into the pedal box and was keeping the clutch pedal from returning fully--just enough to take out free play.
