I know this is on the loose end of the tolerances, but i learned a lesson the hard way from a motorcycle I had. When the valve lash was set too tight the valves would not seal properly/completely and as a result the engine lost compression throughout the rev range and ran horrible. I have found with experimentation that the 02 works better on the loose end of the adjustment.

: I set the valve clearance twice a year to 0.008 inch, or 0.20 mm.
: Hope this helps.
