: A friend of mine had a 1600 that he put in a 2.0. It had the swinging pedels and had no power brakes. I thought that's the way they all were but ???? Do you have a 1602? Is there a difference between 1602 and 1600?

...is a 1600ti with 2 doors and the mechanical clutch and remote European brake booster AND it has a regular 02 pedal box (onlyt different in terms of what the pedals connect to). I believe that right-hand drive 02s have pendant-style pedals, don't know about 4-door models. The 1602, and 1802 designation was adopted in '71 to clear up the confusion between 2 and 4-door models..earlier than that, you just have to count the doors :c)
