: Its 2:00am as shade tree mechanics go.I bought this car 4 months ago hoping to make it go. It had been sitting 4 years and I have struggled with my first Tii. I had it running for about 30 minutes and was amazed at how well it ran. Then the kugel plunger froze again and I couldn't get it lose.
: So, I have just swithced or installed a backup Kugel tonight. I began the process 4 months ago and it just sat there for ages because I couldn't get the damn sloted cam gear to come off the kugel pump.
: Well tonight I wouldn't take no for an answer and completed the process. The car starts and seems to run OK at higher RPMs but may be missing a little at the low end.
: I ran it anyway while the 4 top "o" rings drooled gas like crazy.
: I have turned the key on 3 times in the last 1 1/2 hours hoping the gas will help the rings expand and tighten.
: Questions?
: After reassembly I have two items that memory fails to answer.
: 1. There is a large multi angulated hose that comes dowm from the throttle body that seems to just hang there and get in the way of the lower throttle linkage. Maybe if someone could tell me what it connects to I might be able to determine if it goes above the linkage or below.
: 2. I have a rather large 2-3" spring sitting on the drip lip that I imagine I took off somewhere. Anyone know where the spring goes?
: Thanks a bunch.
