Try replacing the short piece of flex hose at the tank. I had a nice blockage in my hose at the point. So, when you try to suck fuel to the engine, whatever crap you have in the line plugs it. Blow CDA in the opposite direction, it dislodges it. Perfect definition of a check valve.
