: just pulled my head due to blowing gasket, had it skimmed and have bolted it back on. but the valves seem louder then before, have set them to .008 but still sounds like one is wrong. could i have the timing chain out by one tooth? the crankshaft is at top dead centre when the timing mark lines up with the pointer, and on the head the dowel on the chain wheel is at the lowest point, but if i move the crank a little the top stays still, i think i have all the slack on the tensioner side but not 100% sure, any help appreciated!
