Is anyone using this on their 5-speed conversion?

Is this similar to Metric Mechanic's system?

I'm a few months away from my 5-speed conversion, and I really don't want to cut out my existing tranny mounting brackets in the tranny tunnel and weld and/or bolt in new brackets.

A: I'm not a skilled welder

and

B: My MIG-MATE welder currently has awful flux-core wire and I haven't set it up for using solid wire and gas. I don't think I have the parts I need to do it either.
