the schrick is a pre 80's one so it will work on the 02 and early 320i.
to answer the other question.... I believe it will work fine with a 38/38 and 9.5:1 comp ratio, bottom end will suffer.
I am selling it because I have a 300 motorsport cam and a 292 cam, so I have enough toys. I will be selling my spare 300 degree cam soon...lemmie know if anyone out there wants it
