have to agree with earlier comment about u.s. legality. from 1968 on the rules were were changed (becuase of antipollution and safety laws) that mad it very expensive to import a eurpoean car into the u.s. in a nutshell you have to make several modifications to the car after you get it here. check with the e.p.a. (yes, the e.p.a.! they re the ones with the answers on importing a foriegn car). in terms of shipping last time i checked it out (about five years ago) it was in the neighborhood of $800 to ship a car. but that was from a north german or dutch shipping point - from austria i would think it would be more expensive (transport to the port and all) good luck!
