Advice needed! - 32/36 conversion questions (long) (archive)

I attempted the 32/36 conversion this morning and am needing everyone's advice/expertise.

#1 - The carb wants to die/starve out at approximately 2500rpm (the carb gasps). Not sure of the reason. When I put down the secondary by hand it will rev up above 2500 but the primary gasps again (best way I can describe it). Any thoughts?

Right now the Primary says 160 secondary says 165. Are these correct? Those in the bowl are the same size (can't remember what they are).

What is the correct jetting for a stock motor(at least I assume it is stock)?

#2 - On my old air cleaner there was a breather hose that went from the valve cover to the 1 barrel K&N air cleaner. The 2 barrel K&N I bought does not have a place to hook up the breather. What do I do with this hose now? Is there a breather I can put on the valve cover?

#3 - My old Weber 1 barrel had a wire running from the coil to the carb. The 32/36 does not have a place to hook this wire up. Any idea what this is? Do I need it? If so, not sure what I would do with it. Advice?

#4 - Am I correct in thinking the support bracket for the manifold attaches to the back of the starter? I need to fabricate this piece.

Sorry to overwhelm you all with questions. I hope you can give me some direction. Your expertise is appreciated.

Regards,
Todd
