: my carb was flooding alot and not choking properly, so i bought a carb rebuild kit from 2002. I did the best i could to do it right, but it still won't start. 2002ad wants $395 for a new one. Are there any better sources?

Before you throw the old carb out, try one thing. If the floats are brass, shake them to see if they have gas in them. They can leak, and cause the symptoms you describe. If thats the problem, you can get plastic replacements. Sorry, I dont remember the source.
