Sanden is a Japanese rotary compressor that is more efficient than the piston-style York unit.
No info on the mount, might want to look for complete factory or retrofitted A/C later M10-engined BMW (e21 320i, e30 318i) from a salvaged or junkyard car. These cars have the same engine block, hence same mounting.
Good luck, I had to ditch my A/C 'cause the York froze over and I've been in "hell" ever since.

: I am restoring a '74 tii with the Behr A/C unit. It has the York compressor and I have read that a substitute can be used in its place that is more reliable. My ? is, Which compressor makes a good substitute and Where can I find a mount for it? I would rather not have to fabricate a mount if I don't have to. I searched the arhcives without any luck. Is there anyone out there that can give me some advice?
