Here's a trick for setting up your driving lights. I had them on an old car I had once (mounted on top of bumper of course) and they were bright as hell. I wired them to a switch on the dashboard (which controlled the power) then I wired that switch to a toggle that I mounted on my stick-shift so when I drove I could simply flip them on and off w/out taking my hand of the shifter. It saved a couple seconds from reaching up to the dash to turn them off (and if it's a cop approaching you want them turned off quickly). If you turned the switch on the dash off, then you didn't have to worry about accidently turning them on by flipping the toggle on the shift knob.
You'll have to work this out so that the toggle is in easy reach of your fingers when you have your hand in shift position on your shift knob, but it works great - especially if you are flying through turns at night and someone approaches from around the bend - just flip it and their off.
