I guess all you'd need would be another properly licensed 02, just make sure they're the same color so there's no questions, and swap out the license plate each time you wanted to take the other car for a drive. Heck, they give you two plates, right? :)

In the overall scope of cool cars from other countries not available here, classic cars, and just altogether neatoness, I think a legit 2002 Turbo would be a great car to have. They are old enough to be exempt from being federalized, they are fast, nimble and cool, but not so amazingly complicated (say like a 4-valve ferrari V12!) that you couldn't get parts, work on it, and drive it more often than not.

I think before I'd do anything nutty like SC-ing my M3 or do any major mods to the tii, I'd expend some serious effort getting my hands on one of these pups.

A few years back I did some looking into importing a Japanese-spec Honda RVF400R, and got into several horror stories of guys getting their bikes confiscated and crushed when the paperwork wasn't right. Definitely want to avoid that happening to some soulfully gorgeous vehicle, especially one *I* owned.

Okay, I'm doing it again, even considering checking SCCA Solo2 categories for the Turbo...

Bad bad bad bad bad!
